Here, I talk about a variety of things we use every day without giving them much thought, like Coca-Cola, our muscles, and holding our breath. Even though most of these notes aren't really necessary, they are funny enough to use at a drinking party or to pick up women or men.
- Licking: No matter how hard you try, you can't lick your elbows.
- Blink: Men wink at women, but research has shown that the average woman blinks nearly twice as much as the average man.
- Geographical Letters: Did you know that each continent's name starts and ends with the same letters? Don't think that? Find out about Asia, Europe, Africa, America, Antarctica, and the other continents.
- Mohammed: Did you know this is the name that is used the most in the whole world?
- An Old Machine: The word for an old machine that was once used to write letters and other documents is the longest word you can make by clicking on only one row of your computer's keyboard: typewriter!
- Suicide: You may have wondered if it was possible, but studies have shown that holding your breath is not enough to kill yourself.
- Muscle Strength: Did you know that the muscle we use to lick a popsicle is the strongest muscle in the whole body? Your tongue.
- Credit Cards: Did you know that every person in the United States has at least two credit cards?
- Did you know that the first color of Coca-Cola was green?
- Most of these aren't scientific facts, but they are funny and can be used to lighten up a conversation when it's getting boring. Use any of them, and you'll get a lot of attention.
