Are you in charge of what happens to you?
As you read these words, you may be thinking about and looking for ways to make your life feel more complete, successful, and happy.
Some people seem to do well in relationships, business, and personal happiness almost all of the time, while others in similar situations may do well, but never seem to get to the higher levels.
We often say that they are "lucky," but I don't think that's true.
The following six things do have everything to do with it.
These are the things we all need to work on if we want to be happy, successful, and satisfied with ourselves. Which one of these do you want to change?
- Self-image.
What you think about yourself affects how you feel and how other people see you. Your self-confidence and sense of self-worth come from how you see yourself.
- Keeping your cool.
The truth is that either you are in charge of your life or it is in charge of you.
- Being creative.
In its broadest sense, creativity is the part of you that solves problems and comes up with new ideas.
- Working together.
No one is an island, and a successful person will be good at talking to, persuading, and motivating others to help him reach his own goals and the goals they share.
- Planning.
"If you don't know where you're going, you'll end up somewhere else," as the saying goes. If someone doesn't have clear and focused goals, they can't complain if "somewhere else" isn't to their liking.
- Concentration.
To reach life goals, you need to be willing to get started, put in focused effort, be persistent, and keep going even when things get hard.
