First of all, you should know that organising your home is different for everyone.
Some people don't have a lot of clutter and junk, but they still need to know how to keep their stuff organised and put it where it belongs.
On the other hand, some people have piles upon piles of stuff and a big mess, but they still think they just need storage space.
When the last thing you need is storage. Instead of adding more storage to keep more things, the first step is to get rid of the clutter.
Once you start organising your home, you'll see how great and real the benefits are:
-Having order and discipline makes it less stressful.
-It means having more room by getting rid of things for good.
-It's making your life at home easier by setting up useful systems that work for you.
It's a way to be on time without feeling like you have to race against the clock.
Simply put, when you start making small changes to your organisation, it all adds up to give you more breathing room so you can spend more time with your family and friends.
It doesn't matter if you are rich or poor, or if you are young or old. We were never taught how to be organised in school. Instead, we were taught to do too many things at once and not be organised.
They told us to live this way.
I've never worried about keeping things we don't need because I've always gone against the norm. My wife Megan and I make sure to sell or throw away anything that isn't being used or is out of date.
We also use smart, cheap storage to keep only the things we need and teach our kids how important it is to be organised from a very young age. It makes it easier for them and us to be organised and stay on track.
Funny thing is, I don't think I was taught to be organised while I was growing up. Back then, not many people knew much about "organisation," but I was always a "neat" kid.
But at some point, I realised it made the most sense. I like being on time, and being well-organized helps me do that. I don't like wasting time looking for things like tools, ingredients for cooking, paperwork, or bills.
Having things in order makes everything a lot easier.
It won't make you rich, but it will save you money because you won't buy the same thing twice or pay your bills late.
It won't make you younger, but it will give you more time to do things you might think you don't have time to do.
Being organised won't make your house bigger, but it will get rid of the mess and free up some space, making it feel like you have a bigger house because there will be less "stuff" everywhere.
Getting organised may seem like a lot, but I'll give you more tips and tricks over the next few days to help you get and stay organised.
