I need to clear up a few myths about home organisation and getting things in order.
These are the myths about getting your house in order...
=====
Myth #1: To be organised, you have to be born that way, right?
Wrong! Some people think that if you don't have organisation in your blood, it will be hard to change your life and enjoy the simplicity of being simple.
organised.
For example, my wife Megan is not organised because it's not in her blood. But she is a totally different person now than she was when we got married. She's joined my side and shown herself that being organised is way better than not.
with all the bad things that come with clutter.
=====
Myth #2: To get the right kind of storage, you have to spend a lot of money.
That's not the case at all.
First of all, there are so many discount stores competing for your business that some of the newest ways to organise are almost free and will do the job.
Second, there's no need for storage to be fancy. In fact, I buy more storage items at discount craft stores and yard sales than I do at big-name stores.
=====
Myth #3: Getting your house in order takes a lot of energy and drive.
This is not true at all.
It's really just a matter of changing how you do things and how you think about how many things people have these days.
You don't have to do it all at once, either. There are a few simple rules you can start to follow that will help you stay organised.
Even if your spouse or kids are the ones who make the clutter, you can all learn what it takes and make a few simple changes to live a better life by getting organised.
