Everyone has this skill, but they think they don't. The strength of new ideas. If you've ever been impressed by someone's creativity, you should know that you can also be creative and come up with new ideas. It just takes time. Everyone is creative by nature. In kindergarten, the box of crayons wasn't just for those with potential, because the truth is that everyone has potential.
How long did it take you to learn how to ride a bike, drive a car, or never make the same mistake again? The same goes for new ideas. It takes a little bit of practice and a long time before this mind function comes easily when called. This article will give you some ideas on how to be more innovative.
Don't pay attention to what others say. Just do what makes you happy. If you let other people join in, the music you are trying to make will sound like a mess. If you have something new to say, don't waste your time and energy trying to explain it to other people. Not at all. And most of the help you will get will be in the form of bad feedback. If all of those geniuses had paid attention to what their peers said, we might still be living in the Middle Ages.
Put some time into it. I can't say that enough. However, please don't think that this tip means you should quit your day job. Do not. You'll have to plan your time carefully, but with a little discipline, you'll be able to do both.
Exercise. Take a walk. Run one or two miles. Send all of those feel-good chemicals through your body. Working out definitely clears and calms your mind so that you can think of anything.
Write your dreams down. Some of them are so crazy that you would never have thought of them on your own. If you've had these dreams before, which I'm sure you have, it just shows how creative you are but haven't used them yet. So write those down. Those dreams might give you an idea for something new.
Find your own way to dress. A Van Gogh is always different from a Matisse. The choice of words on the paper will tell you that Hemingway wrote it. So the same goes for you. People will like your new idea more because it is unique to you and because no one else would have thought of it. People will be able to see how valuable you are.
Don't hide behind cool tools or gadgets. To make a masterpiece, you don't need the most expensive set of paints. The same thing goes for writing. For a bestseller, you don't need a fancy fountain pen and really smooth paper. In fact, J.K. Rowling wrote the first Harry Potter book on pieces of paper towels. So what if you have a pricey SLR camera if you can't take good photos? Who cares if you have a fancy laptop if you can't even write? As the artist gets better at his craft, he uses fewer tools because he knows what works and what doesn't.
Nothing will work if you don't care about it. How do you wake up in the morning? How does the fire stay lit? What is the one thing you have to do or you'll die? People who want something more often beat those who have talent. The hare and the turtle come to mind. Ellen Degeneres once said that if you're not doing something you want to do, then you don't really want to do it. That's right. Sometimes you want something so much that you can't be stopped. And that's love. With passion, you can keep going.
Don't stress about getting ideas. You can't force inspiration. It comes when you least expect it, so you should be ready for those unpredictable but inevitable times. You might have a great idea on the subway, but you don't have any paper with you to write it down. Avoid these disasters. Keep a pen and paper close to you at all times.
I hope that this article has helped you think of new ways to do things. Remember that you're doing these things for yourself and not for anyone else. But they will notice soon, and things should get worse from there.
