Hurricanes are a real pain. Even if they don't get to you, they still put your safety net in danger. Florida made it through Mother Nature's attack last year, so we are a little braver this year. Not a lot, but some. I'd like to meet the person who made her so mad (Mother Nature). She not only gets even, but she does it with a lot of anger. That's like having PMS and menopause at the same time. So, if you're going through PMS or menopause and don't know what's going on, think of a hurricane. It can change in an instant and kill you. Oh, and it has many names, like bitch, nag, crazy, nuts, annoying, female, crazy, messed up, posting, hallucinating, on drugs, stupid bitch, mentally challenged, etc., but they are not in alphabetical order like hurricanes. So, we're not very organized. BITE ME! You really have to be going through PMS to get it (winks). I can only hope that this makes everyone laugh as much as it has made me laugh so far.
Now let's move on to more important things. Someone asked me a question today. What he said is as follows.

Hey, I'm sorry to hear that your ex broke up with you. Since I don't know either of you, it's hard to give a good answer to that question. People leave a relationship for a lot of different reasons. It could have just stopped working. They could have also looked for someone else. No matter what happens, it hurts, and you have to learn to deal with the pain and move on with your life. It's hard, but it helps you understand what it means to be a person. There's a proverb: "If it doesn't kill you. You'll get stronger from it." I also believe that everything happens for a reason. "Getting Dumped" is one of the worst things that can happen to a person, second only to death. People say that it's easier to get over the death of a loved one than a breakup, "getting dumped," or rejection.
All of these things tell us that someone doesn't like us. We take it on ourselves right away, and that's when we start to blame ourselves. When we blame ourselves, we start to feel ashamed. Shame hurts so much that nobody wants to talk about it or even think about it. We don't talk about shame as much as we should because we're embarrassed by it. Shame is another bad emotion that traps us in a pit of hell and keeps us there. It makes us stay quiet and do nothing, lie, and cover up our real fears. When we are turned down in any way, it hurts our sense of self-worth. If we are weak in that area, it will be very hard to fall. If we are good at that, we will soon be bad at it. In a blog I just wrote, I said:
"When we fall in love for the first time, what does it mean that "love is blind"? Ha! That's funny because it really is blind. Because we trust so quickly and completely, we might be setting ourselves up for the biggest fall of our lives. What gives? Is it because we're wired to want to trust people so much? Or does trusting someone just make life happier and easier?"
So, that's it: as people, we live to love and want to be loved. We can't see straight because the word "LOVE" is so romantic. We feel good when we hear the word "LOVE," but it can also hurt us. So why do we keep putting ourselves in danger? We are gambling without even realizing it. Or is life just a game of chance? In the end, no one wants to be "DUmped" because it's not in our nature to know how to deal with it. How many of you have been "DUMPED" and felt like it was the end of the world? You just knew that nothing would ever look the same to you again. Well, you were kind of right. It's like any other change we've had to deal with. Things won't be the same as they usually are. Your life has not come to an end. Yes, your relationship with a person has come to an end, and it may not have been what you expected, but neither are hurricanes or wars. We have to deal with everything. We made the choice to live. Think of it as a new beginning. New things are good and healthy. Look at things in a different way and enjoy everything that's new. Don't be afraid. "GETTING DUmped" is just another page in your life's story. Think about how boring your book would be if there were no chapters. Now, you can start a new chapter, and believe me, there are a lot of them. If you spend the rest of your life asking all the "WHY" questions, just remember that you've wasted even more of your valuable time on something that went in a different direction. As for a person being full of themselves, that has nothing to do with the "Whys" of "Being Dumped." Even the surest of themselves can shut the door to a relationship. They actually have more guts to do it than someone who is less sure of themselves, or "less full of themselves." Who Can Say? We only know that the choice has already been made and that you, as a smart person, must turn the page. Therapists make a lot of money when people stay stuck in that feeling. (wink) There are a lot of bumps and humps in life. We keep tripping and falling over. The trick is to get really good at picking yourself up and brushing off the old dirt. So goes life. When my daughter got her first "cupid's arrow," I told her, "If you're going to get emotionally involved, be ready to get emotionally detached." This is life! One very important thing to remember is that when we're at our lowest and feel worthless and like we'll never TRUST again, that's just a human feeling. We call it "doubt." We can quickly get rid of doubt. Look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself that you are UNIQUE and that your goal is to be happy. To reach that goal, you have to risk all the falls. Letting yourself think you deserve another relationship is a real risk, and it's just another gamble. But what would life be without some danger? We have the power to get rid of the bad parts of ourselves. We need to just DO IT!!
