Men and women talk to each other in different ways. Women talk more and are louder than men. Women are also much more emotional, and many people would "argue" that they speak a whole other language. And some (okay, most) would insist that they hide what they mean or want to say behind words and phrases that seem silly.
But if you have one of these tricky creatures in your life, it's up to YOU to figure out what she really means, especially if you want to keep the piece.
Situations of "Sorry": Even though she says she's sorry, that doesn't mean she thinks she was wrong. Most likely, she doesn't think she was. All it really means is that she's starting to make things right, and the VERY LEAST she expects from you is to admit your mistakes and apologise.
Weighty Matters: Most women want and need to know that their man still finds them attractive and wants to hear that he does. So, when she asks if she looks fat, it's just to get compliments and find out if you think she's pretty. Make sure your answer is honest but also brings out her beauty and charm. If you don't like how she looks, you might say, "You look lovely in that, but I like you better in a dress, pants, that red outfit, etc."
Her Get up and go: She may start to hint that she's tired or has a lot to do tomorrow. She might even say that you should stay behind and have fun. Dude, that's the signal for you to get ready to go.
She may be complimenting your sense of humour and how well you get along with your nieces and nephews, but she really wants to know what you think about having kids of your own and how soon you want to do it. Even if you don't plan to have kids right away, keep in mind that women like to think far ahead, so if you're not against the idea (even if it's a long way off), give her the answer she's looking for or come up with your own indirect answer.
Fine and Seek: She acts like something might be wrong, but when you ask her, she says it's "nothing." Well guys, you just may be damned if you do and damned if you don't. If you take it at face value that nothing has changed, she'll continue to be annoyed, but if you do your job and figure out what's wrong, you might be in for a fight. But don't forget that she's waiting for you to figure it out so she can talk about it.
