I love arranging flowers. You can make so many different kinds of... Posies, wedding bouquets, bouquets of candy, bouquets of fruit, and more.
A cookie bouquet is a type of bouquet I've just started making.
A cookie bouquet is a bunch of cookies and leaves made into a bouquet. They're a lot of fun and easy to make. This article shows in 5 easy steps how to make a cookie bouquet...
You'll need to:
- 9 cookies with chocolate chips
- 2 bunches of wire for flowers
- Cellophane
- Stem-tape
- Leaves
Step one is to wire and tape the leaves.
Wire the leaves and tape them...
To wire the leaf, push the wire through the silky part of the leaf behind the stem, loop it around, and then go back through the leaf and down to the wire.
Then, wrap the wire with stem tape by holding it in one hand and wrapping (and stretching) the tape around it with the other. Make sure the tape goes all the way to the leaf.
Step 2 is to make the cookies.
Make 9 squares out of the cellophane. Make sure that each square is big enough to hold a cookie.
Cellophane the cookies, and then twist the end of the cellophane.
Now wrap the cellophane with wire and tape, and cut off any extra cellophane.
Step 3: Cool the cookies with a fan.
Hold the cookies in one hand as a group. Then, spread out the cookies a bit to make room for the leaves...
Step 4: Fill in the spaces with leaves.
Start putting the leaves between the cookies. The leaves spread out to make a circle. Then give the bouquet a squeeze. If there are still gaps, you can add more leaves to fill them in.
Step 5: Put together the handle.
Use cutters to trim the ends of the wires in the handle to make them look neater.
Then tape the stem of the handle and, if you want, add ribbon tails.
All done! Everyone who sees the candy bouquets you make will love them right away. People just seem to LOVE cookie bouquets!
