How To Get Huge Muscular Arms? Build Big Triceps Exercises

So you want to build big, strong arms. Do not ignore your triceps exercises.

People do bicep curls over and over again in gyms all over the world. If someone asked them to show how strong they are, they would probably flex their biceps. What do you think? Well, since you are reading this article, you must already know that you need big triceps to have big, strong arms.

Why do you ask? Because your tricep is about 2/3 as big as your arm. Just imagine that your bicep only makes up 30% of your arm and that your triceps make up 60%. So, if you don't work out your triceps, you're not working out 60% of your arms. Instead, you're working on the tiny 30% of your arms called the biceps. Of course, you still need to work on your biceps to get that well-rounded, balanced, muscular look.

Also, your triceps are used in many other bodybuilding exercises, like military presses, bench presses, and many others. If your triceps are strong, you will be able to lift more weight in these other exercises, which will help you build muscle in other parts of your body.

Your triceps have three main muscles, while your biceps only have two. Their names start with "tri" and "bi," respectively. That's another reason why you should build up your triceps.

Tricep Excercise Form

So you've been working out your triceps, but you haven't seen much progress. It could be because of how you move during your reps and don't do the exercises to their full range of motion. You see, most of the tricep muscles are at the top of the arm. To reach the deep fibres of your tricep muscles, you have to stretch your arms further than you feel is natural.

When you do tricep exercises like skull crushes and tricep extensions, your form must be strict and your elbows should move as little as possible. When you do these exercises with full range of motion, they work deep into your triceps muscles.

Exercises for the triceps like the close-grip bench press, diamond pushups, and cable pushdowns don't give you that range of motion because they have a limited range of motion. This doesn't mean you shouldn't do these exercises; just pay less attention to them.

So, if you want big, strong triceps, you need to feel the pull of your triceps when the weight is at its lowest point before you pull it back.
