When I was a kid, it seemed like no matter what was wrong with my brother and me, my mom always had something that tasted or smelled bad that would heal any cuts or scrapes. I swear, if I had come home with the plague, she would have made some kind of bubbling potion that would have cured it.
With Tea and Lemon:
When you have a cold, the first thing people will tell you to do is drink tea with lemon. Most of the time, this will ease some of the symptoms and give you short-term relief. It's easy to understand why this works. The warm water from the tea helps your respiratory system open up, and the vitamin C in the lemon is good for your immune system. If you take vitamin C every day, you can stop colds before they start.
Soup to heal wounds:
I know the name "Antiseptic soup" doesn't sound very appealing, but the soup is made from garlic. The soup helps the repertory system work better. The soup also kills the germs in the body that are causing the cold, and if you add a tablespoon of onion juice, it can help get rid of toxins and speed up the body's healing process.
Ginger:
Ginger is another thing that can bring down a fever. About a quarter of an ounce of ginger is cut into small pieces and then boiled in water. Then pour the mixture through a strainer into a glass and add sugar. Cut up some ginger into small pieces and put them in a glass. This will make it taste better, but it won't work as well. Then you pour boiling water into the glass and drop in a tea bag. Ginger should be used twice a day to bring down a fever, and then once a day until the cold is gone.
Okra:
Okra is a green vegetable that looks like a cross between a zucchini and a pepper. Mucilage, which is found in the vegetable, is great for soothing sore throats. About 10 grammes of okra should be cut into pieces and boiled in about 1 litre of water. When the water boils, you can breathe in the steam and drink it. It will look like oil. This oil will help your sore throat feel better.
Nuts and seeds:
After the fever goes away, the person can eat solid foods again, but it's best to stick to fruits, vegetables, seeds, and nuts for the first day or two. Dairy and meats should be avoided.
Find the Original:
So far, all of the remedies have been ways to ease the symptoms of a cold, but this one is meant to get rid of the cold itself. Bitter Gourd Root is made into a paste and mixed with homey. Add 1 teaspoon of honey to 1 teaspoon of Bitter Gourd Root. Take one tablespoon of the mixture every night for 30 days to get rid of cold germs and help your immune system get stronger.
Root of Turmeric:
This treatment will fix everything that's wrong with you. It will stop you from having a sore throat, a stuffy nose, or a runny nose. For this cure, you need to buy powdered turmeric root. Pour one cup of milk and half a teaspoon of turmeric root powder into a pot and bring to a boil. When the mixture starts to boil, breathe in deeply. Then, let the milk cool down a bit and drink it twice a day. You will feel better in just a few days.
