Habits, ugh, those bad ones. Habits are formed through training, observing, being influenced by others, and practising. Throughout our lives, we pick up many habits, some of which are good and some of which are bad. We can keep good habits, but if we want to improve our lives, we have to get rid of the bad ones. But it's not easy to break bad habits, especially if they lead to an addiction. Because of this, we can take a few steps to help you learn how to change your habits.
People go through life making up reasons why they can't do something. When someone sees something hard to do, they often come up with reasons why they can't do it. "I've always been like this." This is a problem that happens a lot in the world, and we've all heard about it a billion times. But if you want to improve your life, you need to say, "This is something that is holding me back, and I can change it."
Stop making excuses. That's the first key to success. Find out how to be honest. The only answer that will help you improve your life is the truth. Once you know how to tell the truth, you'll have to commit to learning new ways to act and do things.
Choose a new habit to show your commitment. I'm going to drink more water today. Some of us don't like water, but it helps us stay healthy. Instead of hating something that could save your life, say, "Today I will drink more water." Even if all you do for the first few days is drink a glass, you are still making changes.
I'm going to stop judging myself and other people today. People all over the world often make this mistake. They spend a lot of time judging themselves and others. This doesn't lead anywhere but to chaos. Since you make your own bed, you should learn to sleep in it. This is why you should change the way you do things. Only our Master in the sky has the right to judge.
Do you have bad thoughts? I can't make any changes. My life is so crazy that I can't take it anymore. Why me? Who put a sign on my head that said "Persecute"? If you always have bad thoughts and say things with bad meanings, try changing your ways today. Say something like, "I can change something and I will." Instead of saying that life is full of nonsense, just accept that it is and move on to make it better. No one knows why people often ask, "Why me?" but we have to accept it, make better decisions, and move on. Ask yourself what you are doing that makes you feel like you are being persecuted. Are there people in your life who bring you down? If so, kick their rear end down the road and find some new friends. No one in life is important enough to make you keep hurting. You have the ability to make changes, but you can't make other people change.
Start small when you want to make changes to improve your life. Instead of rushing things, take small steps to get where you want to go. Too often, people think they can change overnight. This only makes things worse.
Make sure you ask for help and feedback when you are trying to change your life and habits. You don't have to go it alone to get ahead. You can find feedback at your library, on the Internet, in colleges, and many other places. You will also get help through these routes. Ask someone you trust to back you up and also give you feedback when you need it.
