You've got it!
Hold an ongoing prize drawing in your e-zine. The prizes should be things that your subscribers will like or find useful. Most people who enter will keep reading each issue to find out who won.
100 percent Original
Give your subscribers content they can't find anywhere else. I'm not saying that all of the information in your e-zine has to be original, but at least some of it should be. Most people will read something they have never read before.
Were You Right?
Give your subscribers a quiz or a series of trivia questions. The correct answers should be in your next issue. Those who took part will want to find out if they were right.
Read Everything You Can!
Give news stories that relate to the topic of your e-zine. People want news that is up to date. If you can be their first source, they will read what you write again and again.
There Are Results!
Hold a poll that people can answer in your e-zine. Ask subscribers a poll question. Ask them to send their vote or opinion via email. People love to say what they think. They also want to know what happened in your next issue.
Become a fool:
Give your subscribers some laughs every once in a while. Don't take yourself so seriously; tell them a joke. If your e-zine reminds them of happiness, they will want to read every issue.
The Highway of Free Information
People love getting things for free. Tell people where they can find free stuff online or in real life. It could be software, services, free samples, e-books, and so on. The freebies you offer should be related to the subject of your e-zine. If you keep giving away free stuff, your subscribers will keep reading.
Mini-Yahoo
Tell your readers about Web sites that are related to the subject of your e-zine. The sites should be fun to look at and useful. Be like a small "Yahoo" for your readers. You know how many people use Yahoo.
