But while I can usually find one or two pairs of large-size boots at most stores, I don't have as many options as I'd like unless I go to the big outlet stores or buy my shoes online.
Of course, I can't use the internet. Companies often change the way their shoes are made without telling anyone. The only way to know for sure is to try on each pair of shoes you buy.
Last time I bought a pair of large-size boots online instead of at a store, I thought I would get something that would fit. Even though it was the same pair I had bought before and my feet hadn't grown at all, I still didn't like them.
But when the large size boots came in the mail, they weren't just too small or too big; they were also shaped differently. They were shorter, narrower, and tighter across the bridge of my foot, so they didn't fit in any way. I'll tell you, I learned my lesson then.
I buy all of my big boots at the outlet now, but I didn't always do that. The problem with outlet shoe stores is that you have to know what you want before you go in.
After all, you'll only be able to choose from one brand, and if you don't like the large size boots they make, you'll have driven all the way out to nowhere for nothing. If you want large size boots but don't know exactly what you want, the best thing to do is to ask friends who wear large boots what they like.
So, you'll have something to go on and won't waste time driving all over town looking for the first place you hear about.
