Vein Wear is the best designer of men's shoes in Australia. Australia's best clothing stores have all chosen Christopher McCallum's shoe Vein as their favourite. Vein started its winter season with the Morrisey, Kenzo, and Leopold main shows at the L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival.
When Always Habit won the prestigious Australian Design Awards in November 2005, the only shoes that made sense were their vein shoes. Always Habit designs are for smart young men who work in the business world. They want a striking shoe to go with both their casual and business clothes. This is what vein gives.
At Mercedes Australian Fashion Week, top Australian brands like "Leopold" and "Tom, Dick, and Harry" showed off their winter lines with shoes with veins. Both collections stood out, and the parades were praised by critics.
When Vein showed its Winter 2006 collection at the L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival in March, it was clear which shoes should be worn with the three best men's collections of the season. Morrisey, Kenzo, and Leopold chose Australian designer shoes by Vein to go with their high-end clothes for their main shows.
"The Australian designer fashion scene has been getting better and better, but the fashion festival is definitely the peak so far. Morrisey is both a hero and a legend. It is a great honour to be worn on the feet of his, Kenzo's, and Leopold's collections. I know that our shoes match their clothes well ", says McCallum.
At the upcoming Mercedes Australian Fashion Week, Vein will work closely with Red Cordial, a hot men's clothing brand. Retailers, stylists and other fashion industry participants can also see a preview of Vein's Summer 06/7 collection at MAFW's Source Exhibition at the end of April.
"At Vein, we're happy to work with people who make clothes. Footwear does not steal the limelight at fashion parades, but a designer collection show is too important to leave footwear up to models, friends or God forbid resort to pluggers", says McCallum.
