There is no question that links from other websites to your website are important for an ecommerce business. Everything comes back to Google Page Rank. This is the tool that Google uses to figure out how important a website is to people who surf the web.
Google will take into account a site's number of links, the PR of the pages that link to it, the similarity of keywords on linked pages, how often the site is updated, and how many people visit it. A small business website with a PR4 and a private blog about "wealth building" will do better than two PR4 sites that share links between pages with "small business" as the main keyword.
Also, 100 links from a PR6 site to a PR4 site will boost the second site's ranking more quickly than 100,000 links from a PR2 site to the same PR4 site.
All of this can be a little hard to understand. The PR algorithm at Google is in charge of everything. Because search engines can't think, they cause confusion. Small business owners can improve their page promotion by using both the PR4 "small business" site and the PR2 "wealth building" site. Search engines, on the other hand, can't read. If they don't see similar keywords, they won't realise that the sites' content is really the same.
Building Links
The main problem with getting links from other sites is that it takes time. Even with a strong campaign to build links, it can take months to get a few thousand natural links. This raises the question of whether you should buy links from high-ranking sites.
If the link is in the right place, the benefits are good. Some link-buying services let business owners choose which sites and pages their links show up on. You can only use this type of "static page" service.
Blogs get links from another service. Services like www.payu2blog.com, www.blogsvertise.com, and www.payperpost.com let business owners choose the PR ranks, topics, and quality of the blogs where their links are posted. Blogs have a benefit that websites that don't change don't have. First, blogs always put the link in the content, hidden in keywords that the business owner chooses. This makes sure that the keywords used on both sites are the same.
The second benefit is that every time a blogger posts a blog or a comment, the blog is sent to blog search engines and directories. This means that a single blog can be "pinged" to the search engines every day, while a static web page can only be "pinged" every few months, if at all.
A static page linked to a blog, on the other hand, will be "crawled" every time a blog post is published and "pinged."
Going Through Your Site
People often buy links from PR4 to PR8 sites just to get the search engines to crawl their site. The benefits have already been gained, so it doesn't matter if the link goes down. This is the best way for Google to figure out a new website in a few hours instead of taking weeks or months.
Cost
Costs can be too high. Some companies set aside $1 million for advertising on blogs. But a small business can get going with just $1,000. In fact, if the blog owner finds blogs with ads hidden in the posts, they can contact the blog owner and deal with them directly. A blog with a PR of 2 or 3 will cost $5. It will cost $10 for a PR 4–5. As much as $100 can be paid for a PR6+.
But the traffic Google sends to your site can easily make up for the cost. If you buy 10 links from 10 PR5 websites or blogs, you can get 100,000 more visitors per month, which can lead to 1,000 more sales.
Link Farms
If you buy links on blogs or websites, you should stay away from link farms. These are sites that sell links as their main business. If these sites are found by search engines, they will be banned. This could cause your 1000 PR7 links to vanish for good. Google may take up to six months to add new links to your website. This will hurt your page rank and make you less money for a few months.
Links that go outward
It's also important to link from your site to other sites that are similar. These links will also be counted by Google. At the end of the day, it's up to each business owner to decide if they should build natural links or spend money to buy links.
