How to define "designer."
In the fashion industry, the word "designer" is often used in a loose way. This is especially true of factories that make a lot of shoes that look like the top shoes on the market.
We don't do it the same way. How you'd expect to get a real designer shoe made for you. Christopher McCallum, the head designer at Vein, sketches each new design first as a concept, then works and reworks it with graphite on paper until he has a final drawing. Then, a prototype shoe is made by hand with great care.
