I'm more worried about where my money is going these days. Who benefits from the money God has given to me and my family? When I buy something or put money into a business, is the Kingdom being helped?
I think this MUST be important to us as Christians. Too long, many believers have focused on the lowest price or the safest long-term investments as the most important things when it comes to money.
During our time on earth, we are to be good stewards of God's money....

We are in charge of God's money while we are here on earth. The truth is this.
"The Lord Almighty says, 'The silver is mine and the gold is mine.'" Haggai 2:8 Since we don't own the money, we should spend it in a way that brings glory to God. Here are some ways we can use God's resources better:
- Buy from people in your area. If you buy from a local store, it's not hard to find out what the owner believes in.
Before buying a more expensive item, like a car, find out what the company stands for and what it supports. Check out how they treat the people who work for them.
Do some research on the companies you are putting your money into before you invest. This is very important because more and more money is being invested overseas.
- Buy from businesses owned by Christians. If you have a choice, go to a Christian-owned business. Why not invest in a new business that someone in your church is starting instead of a number on the NYSE? From an investment point of view, there is more "risk," but when God is involved, there is no risk.
- Invest in the area. Look at buy local.
- GIVE MORE! The most important thing is this. Give from the wealth God has given you, and then watch what He does with it. I've NEVER heard anyone say "I decided to give God more money, but he didn't come through for me. I wasn't blessed, and I'm sorry I gave it away."
Don't be a Christian who is lazy. Be diligent. Ask God right now, "Show me where I can spend, invest, and give money. I believe you can guide me."
