Most people think that money makes the world go round, and that money is carried by businesses. Business people might do anything to make money, which is the main reason they have a business in the first place. After costs and expenses are taken out of sales or income, the amount left over is the net profit or income. No matter what you do for a living, you are in business and making money. When you make money, you have to pay taxes, which is the worst thing that can happen. Income tax is what you have to pay for being successful in business. This sounds crazy, but it's the truth: you pay when you make money. Because tax is a law, breaking it would be a crime. Income tax had already caused billions of people around the world to lie. Some governments have put in place taxes that are already too high and slow down business. Some people make tax laws that are already too hard for taxpayers to follow. But these facts shouldn't make it so that there are a lot of dishonest people in the world.
Ethics in business are hard to find these days. Maybe it's because most people will make money even if they don't follow business ethics. I don't agree with this. Ethics comes from the Latin word mores, which means "customs," and the Greek word ethos, which means "character." According to the encyclopaedia, ethics is the part of philosophy that explains what is good for the individual and for society, as well as what duties people have to themselves and to each other. If you think of profit or income as money, you might not need ethics to make money. But really, business isn't just about making money. Yes, it is for profit, but profit is more than just making money. We need a profit that does more than just keep our money and food on the table. Importantly, we also need money to feed our hearts and souls. Since we are good businesspeople, we should think about this principle more. To make these very valuable profits, we need to have good business ethics. We must care about being good people and about the good of everyone.
Your business isn't just a way to keep your life going on Earth. It can also help you keep your soul alive. If you own a business and have employees, you can help them by paying them enough and giving them other benefits that make their lives better. You can be honest and pay the correct amount of tax to the government, which will use it to help your country grow. (Assuming your government is honest and not corrupt.) But don't worry about them; be honest even if others aren't. This is about the survival of your soul, not theirs. You can also help your customers if you meet their needs and make things easy for them. Customer service is important for your customers and for your business to gain the trust and loyalty of the public. When you build infrastructures for your business, you help to improve the buildings and infrastructures in your area. When you have business ethics, you compete fairly in business. Fair business competition pushes every company to improve the quality of their goods and services, which is good for customers in the end.
When you do business with a clear mind, you can sleep well at night. It also means going to work with joy in your heart and soul. If you do business with ethics, people will be grateful to you and you won't have to worry about anything. You will get these and other spiritual profits right away, and the good news is that you don't have to pay taxes on them. As a great businessman, you don't just set goals for the next 10 years or for the rest of your life. You should also think about the afterlife and set goals to make money that will help your soul. You need profits that last forever, profits that give us eternal life and happiness, and profits that give us the key to heaven. These profits will help us in the short term, the medium term, the long term, and the eternal future, because God is great from the beginning to the end of time.
Believe in God and run a business. Building our business in God's place is like building it on solid rocks. Let's be kind and thankful to our employees because they are our best assets. Let's give them bread and ask for a ham sandwich in return. Let's take very good care of our customers, since they bring in the most money for us. Let's offer them good prices, high-quality products, and the best services, and they'll respect us and stay with us. Let's be fair to our competitors, because they push us to do our best. Let's play fair with them, and they'll show us what it really means to win. Let's be grateful to our Father, the Almighty God, because He is the best person to work with. Let's serve Him, and He'll bring us happiness and peace.
