Now, I'm going to tell you about some of the best places in the world to snow board. I really mean that I'm going to tell you about the places that, if you're a snow boarder, you have to go to if you want to have been snow boarding at its best.
Solden in Austria
This amazing resort is about 50 miles from Innsbruck and another 20 miles from Otztal. This amazing place has three of the world's fastest lifts and some of the best views I've ever seen. It also has three of the best slopes I've ever seen. At least one night a week, you can go night boarding in style because the slopes are open. There is also a fireworks show and anything else you can think of to make the night a success. You can even get a drink in between runs so you can enjoy all the different parts of snow boarding while drinking. If you've never been night boarding before, you should definitely check it out.
Austria's St. Anton
Some of the best terrain I've ever seen is in St. Anton, which is one of the reasons I think this is one of the best places to go snow boarding. If you like to do things your own way, this is the place to do it. The slopes aren't very forgiving, so if you don't like fast-paced fun, you should probably go somewhere else. The slope has a lot of powder, which helps snowboarders move a lot faster than they usually do.
France's Tignes
If you want to go snowboarding in France, Tignes is the place to go. Tignes was one of the first places to let snowboarders in, when most people thought the only thing you could do on the slopes was ski. But, ladies and gentlemen, let me tell you something. This is also the best place to learn your trade because there are so many training courses for people who want to make a living teaching snow boarding. This is not a good place to hang out if you want to do tree runs, but it does have a lot of great runs that you must try.
The UK's XCAPE BUILDING SNOWZONE
This is the best indoor entertainment you can find. If you think playing your Playstation is an indoor activity, you're in for a big surprise. You only pay by the hour for the time you spend on the slopes, and that includes renting boots and a board. The truth is that this is such an enclosed area, and there are instructors everywhere watching what you do. When I went, instructors gave me a lot of helpful feedback on their own time. A place where you can learn a lot.
LAAX in Switzerland
This, my friends, is a snow boarder's dream and something everyone should see and do. Some of the biggest snowboarding competitions in the world take place here, and pros never pass up a chance to show off their skills on these tough slopes. When something happens here, people think it's cool and whatever else. All of the best DJs, singers, and pop stars want to be there to be a part of whatever is going on. People who would rather flip than do anything else will love this place because it has a lot of half-pipes. The ski lift is also good, and for many people who are just starting out, this is the best part of their trip. There are some slopes that are hard, and there are also slopes that are good for beginners.
