Unless you came into a lot of money, you probably work to make a living. You might think that everyone feels like they don't make enough money, but for many of my clients, this was true. Why weren't they getting paid enough for what they do, or why can't they find a job that pays enough for their skills? Surprisingly, many of them were hurting themselves without even realising it. Many of these ways of hurting themselves made them feel stupid shame or fear, which made them hold back. Even mild reactions can cause people to avoid or be confused, which uses up energy and makes it hard to be motivated, excited, or confident. People don't do their best work, are afraid to ask for a raise or look for a better job, and feel unhappy and unfulfilled.
Common responses that make it hard to make money:
I don't want to do well because:
Someone is going to take it from me.
Women and people will not like me.
I'll be expected to do well again, and the pressure will never let up.
People will expect me to do better than I did before, but I won't be able to.
I'm afraid that people will envy me and:
want to get rid of me.
will turn me down.
It will break up my family.
I'm scared to go for broke because:
- I'll be unpopular.
I'll get hurt physically or hurt someone else (athlete).
Work-related worries:
I don't want to be ambitious because I'm afraid I'll get too busy and lose my quality of life.
I feel bad that I use my talents to make money because they are gifts from God that I should give to everyone for free.
I'm afraid that if people pay me, I'll have to keep my promises and be stuck as their slave.
I'm useless and can't compete because... They can hire someone to do the job better (or more cheaply).
- I have to have a job or career that someone else wants or they won't love me and will leave me.
When we use the Healing from the Body Level UpSM (HBLUSM) method to clear these unconscious self-sabotaging patterns from people, they can make a good living doing what they are good at and love. Work becomes fun, worthwhile, and satisfying.
Stories of Success
Eric and his wife ran a business that made a lot of money. In a very bad divorce ten years later, he lost his wife, his home, and his business. Desperate to get his money back, he put what little he had left into risky investments and ended up owing several hundred thousand dollars. Eric got a second wife and started his own business. He thought that the wild changes in his income were caused by trauma, so he went to see an HBLUSM specialist. Eric's father had been a very successful businessman, but he went bankrupt a few months before he died, which was a strange thing. He was a mean, distant, and competitive father. Eric used HBLUSM to get rid of the unconscious habit of trying to earn his father's love and respect by showing that he could be more successful financially than his father. He stopped making risky investments to "get rich quick" and focused on what he was really good at. All of his debts were paid off in just two years. His income keeps going up in a straight line.
Marie was a very good communications consultant, but she always had trouble making her business profitable. Even though she had good credentials and a good track record, she found it scary, awkward, and hard to charge full fees for her services, ask clients to sign contracts, and go after new business with all her heart. Marie found out through HBLUSM that she was unconsciously repeating the patterns of her family, where money was always tight and talks about money were always stressful. Marie also felt like she wasn't good enough because her father made a lot of money. After getting rid of these ideas, Marie learned: 1) Money is not a sign of class. 2) You get paid for goods or services, and 3) Your financial success depends on how good your products are and how much people want them. Money is not about how much you are worth. Now, interacting with customers and getting new business is easy and fun for Marie.
