Your main goal when it comes to mortgage leads is to make money. You can get a lead from a mortgage lead company. You decide what to do next.
First, it's important to find the right lead company. Do some research and find a company that sells good quality mortgage leads. Not the kind of leads that are sold over and over again or that come from third-party companies.
When you call a prospect for one of your mortgage leads, your customer may at some point say that they don't want to work with you. This is no reason at all to give up the lead.
Some of the problems you might run into are listed below.
"I am no longer interested."
If the prospect says this, it's likely that they've lost interest. This is understandable, since buying or refinancing a home is a very big financial decision.
Say something along these lines.
Oh, that makes me sad. Based on the information you gave in your online application, I was able to put you in a really nice programme.
This will get their attention nine times out of ten.
Another problem could be that they are already working with someone else.
This could be true if you buy your leads from more than one source. Most companies that sell leads will sell them four to five times.
If someone gives you this challenge, you could say something like this.
Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that. I have a great programme that I'm sure you'd be interested in. If you have a minute, I'd be glad to talk about it with you.
Most of the time, this will make them think and want to hear more. Make sure they know how important it is to shop around in this business.
If neither of these solutions works for the problems your customer is giving you, send them an email. The address is usually given on the lead by most lead providers.
You could also send them brochures about the goods and services you have to offer.
Don't forget that you work hard to earn your money, so follow up on your leads. Don't give up after the first no, and you'll be more likely to close the deal.
