If you like to wear the latest celebrity and designer perfumes like everyone else, be prepared to spend a lot of money. Most of the perfumes cost hundreds of dollars for one ounce, and if you buy more, it can add up to a lot of money. The price of designer perfume shouldn't always be high. If you know where to look, it's easy to find pricey perfume for a low price.
Find the right spots.
If you want to find cheap perfume, you should avoid department stores as long as they aren't having a sale. Visit a perfume outlet instead of the cosmetics counter at a mall department store. If you don't, you'll end up paying too much for the brand.
There are now perfume outlets in a lot of shopping centres. If your local shopping centre doesn't have one, drive to an outlet and you will be happy with the money you save. Most places that sell perfume sell designer scents at low prices. Most of the time, they won't have a lot of extra products that go with your favourite scent, but you can usually find most brands of cologne or perfume for 30–70% off. Just make sure you're getting the real designer brand and not a cheap imitation. Even though a knock-off can smell just like your favourite brand, it usually has a lot more alcohol in it and, most importantly, the scent will go away very quickly.
You can also check out discount stores that sell department store seconds and last year's fashions. Ross, Marshalls, and TJ Maxx are good places to look for cheap designer perfumes with a wide range of scents. Just make sure to check the bottles because perfumes are not locked behind cosmetic counters. If you don't, you might end up with only half a bottle of your favourite scent.
