Before you start scuba diving as a hobby, you need to get the right gear and equipment. There are many options, but if you're just starting out, it's best to start with the mask, fins, snorkel, and weight belt, and then move on to more advanced sets later.
How It Works:
The glass plate on the front of the diving mask lets you see what's going on under water. Most diving masks are made so that the person wearing it can breathe out into the mask. This stops the "squeeze" caused by pressure on the way down. Choose a mask that fits well and makes a seal around your face. Most scuba diving masks have a "skirt" made of rubber or silicone that seals off the diver's face from water.
There are different kinds of diving masks, such as full-face masks that let you talk underwater and helmets that let you use diving gear from the surface. There are also masks for people who need to wear prescription glasses.
The fins let you move around freely under water, and they should fit your feet perfectly. It shouldn't be too tight or too loose, because that could make it hard to swim, uncomfortable, or even dangerous to dive in. The snorkel lets you breathe on the surface of the water without lifting your head. It should be at least 30 cm long. If you are a beginner, you should think about getting a weight belt to help you stay afloat.
Wetsuits and Drysuits are used by divers to keep them warm and prevent problems like hypothermia. Remember that water moves heat away from the body 25 times faster than air. So, choose a suit based on how hot or cold the water will be where you're going to dive.
Scuba Sets:
Scuba sets come in two main types: open-circuit and closed-circuit.
Most scuba divers with open-circuit scuba sets use standard air, which is 21 percent oxygen and 79 percent nitrogen. This is because it is much cheaper than using mixtures like heliox and trimix. The open-circuit scuba set, also called Aqualung, is cheaper and more popular than other types because it is easy to use. The user basically breathes in through the set and out through the waste pipe. The gas tank is worn on the back. Open-circuit scuba sets with 2 or 3 backpack cylinders are on the market.
Rebreathers are used with closed-circuit scuba sets. In this system, the rebreather reprocesses the air you breathe out so that you can breathe it back in. People who need to go on long dives can save a lot of money this way. There are three kinds of rebreathers: ones that use oxygen, ones that use a semi-closed circuit, and ones that use a fully-closed circuit.
You should think about these accessories:
The regulator and buoyancy compensator (BC) The regulator should have a gauge and a second mouthpiece. The regulator is what moves the air from your cylinder. For depth control, the Buoyancy Compensator, which can be a back-mounted wing or stabiliser jacket, is very important.
Dive watch: A dive watch is a useful piece of technology for measuring time and depth underwater. A dive computer, which is more accurate but costs more, can also be used for the same thing.
If you want to get serious about scuba diving, you might want to get some useful extras like an underwater light, a surface marker buoy (SMB), a knife, a compass, and so on. When you are looking for the right scuba diving gear and accessories, you can get help from experienced divers, Scuba Dive centres, websites, magazines, and other places.
