You say that you are in your office, juggling numbers, guessing how much money you will make, and sweating from nervousness. What does all this hard work and stress lead to in the end? You've decided that getting a business credit card is the best thing for you to do. With that decision made, you spend what seems like hours looking at websites, reading the fine print, and writing down all the different details and features of what seems like a thousand different credit cards. Your spiral notebook is full of numbers, percentages, and facts. After a lot of hard work and boring research, you think you're ready to put it into practise.
All you have to do to get a business credit card is fill out an online application.
If you have ever used the Internet to apply for a personal credit card, this will be easy.
If you want to apply for a business credit card online, the first thing you need to do is go to the website of the card you want.
Go to the website for the card you've chosen. Find the "Apply now" button and click on it.
Most likely, the first thing you'll be asked for is information about yourself. Fill in your first and last name, date of birth, phone number, address, social security number, and the maiden name of your mother. In the next section, you will probably be asked about where you live. Do you own your home, rent it, or live somewhere else? How much does it cost you each month to live where you do? How long have you lived where you are right now? Some applications will also ask how much money you bring in on your own.
After you fill out your personal information, you will move on to the section where you give information about your business. The credit card company will want to know what your business is called and what name you want on the card. They will want to know the address and phone number of your business. After that, they'll want to know how long your business has been open. How much money does your business make each year? What kind of business do you run? Do you farm, run a hotel, make things, etc.? What kind of business are you? Are you a sole proprietor, a non-profit organisation, a partnership, or a corporation? What is your tax ID number?
When you're done with this section, you'll be asked how many free credit cards you'd like for your employees and what their names should be.
The credit card company will ask if you want to transfer any balances to the new card.
After you fill out the application, you will be asked to read important information about the annual percentage rate, fees, and restrictions. Once you agree, click "Continue," and you'll be taken to a secure website where you can upload the information.
When you're done with the application process, you should hear back from the company within a few days.
