The New York market is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., which is Eastern Standard Time. The Tokyo market is open from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m. Eastern Standard Time, and the Sydney market is open from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. From 3 a.m. to noon, Eastern Standard Time, the London market is open. This means that the New York and London markets are open from 8 a.m. to noon EST, the Sydney and Tokyo markets are open from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. EST, and the London and Tokyo markets are open from 3 a.m. to 4 a.m. EST. When these markets overlap and are both open at the same time, there are the most trades and the best chance of making a profit.

By knowing when each market opens and closes, a Forex investor can make more money trading currencies. When these markets are open at the same time, you have the best chance of making good trades on the Forex market. This is because there are more trades and more people on the market, which makes trades more profitable.
