Now that the holiday shopping season is over, we can focus on the new year. Every new year gives us hope and new ideas. We plan to make changes in many parts of our lives. We start the new year with great plans, whether they are for better health, better relationships, or better money. This is a chance to forget about the past and think about the future. Too often, though, these promises aren't kept.
As for our goal to improve our finances, this one often sneaks up on us when we open our credit card statements. Then we have to face the cold reality of how much we spent the year before or the years before that. We can't make progress in 2007 as long as the debt cloud of 2006 is over our heads.
In that cloud of debt are our vacation, the big-screen TV in our living room, and, of course, the holiday gift-giving season that just ended. At the time, it all seemed fine. With just a small payment every month, we could live like kings and queens right now. This is how we have been taught to think. Still, when our credit card bills come in the next few months, many of us will find that we have once again used our credit cards too much.
It's easy to abuse our credit cards because it's too easy to get credit. And almost every store that sells things, even fast food restaurants and grocery stores, takes credit cards. Unfortunately, using plastic cards to pay for goods and services is like using plastic chips at a casino: we don't feel like we're really spending money. We spend too much because of this.
As this cloud of debt gets darker, people can be happy to know that there is a heaven above this cloud. A place where people can go to be free of their credit card debts. A debt-free heaven. A place to begin again. It's called getting rid of debt.
With the new bankruptcy laws, many people are finding that they may not be able to file for bankruptcy anymore. The best option for these same people now is to get rid of their debt. Plus, after going through this process, their credit scores go up. It is the real alternative to filing for bankruptcy, getting credit counselling, or combining your debts into one. The best part is that we won't have to refinance our house again. The programme works for all major credit cards and signature loans that don't need to be paid back.
"People can really start 2007 with a new financial outlook," says Jim Vrana of The True Debt Advisor. Adding, "When people's debts become too much to handle, the debt elimination programme gives them a fresh start with their money. You could call it a "do-over." Without going bankrupt and without having to pay those annoying fees for refinancing."
Many people aren't sure if this "heaven" for getting out of debt really exists. But it does exist. The process for getting rid of debt is based on decisions from the U.S. Supreme Court, Title 15 of the United States Code, the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, the Fair Credit Billing Act, the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), and many other Banking and Lending laws.
