How It All Started
In 1922, a man named George J. Mecherle came up with the idea for State Farm insurance. Mecherle thought he could make an insurance company that was better than the others, with better rates and better coverage. So he did. Something about Mecherle's plan was right, because State Farm Insurance is still going strong after more than 80 years.
