Tips for selling products to raise money
How do you maximise your fundraising sales? Here are some tips for selling my book to raise money for a cause,
Success with fundraising!
1- Stress setting a goal for a personal challenge
Have sellers promise to be the best salesperson in their group or sub-group. Set up their sales efforts so that success, not failure, is the focus.
2- Have sellers say out loud what their solo goal is
By telling your peers what you're going to do, you've strengthened your commitment. Who wants to say out loud that they won't make it?
3- Make a list of prospects
Before they start selling, everyone should make a list of people who might buy from them. Look it over and make sure that they have at least ten goals.
4- Choose who your best customers are.
Stay with people you already know, like friends, family, neighbours, etc. Don't forget your coworkers and people you know from out of town for your big fundraisers.
5- Run through your sales pitch.
Everyone in your group should work on the sales pitch at home. Make sure that every seller uses your two-sentence value proposition. Be dangerous and armed
6- Be prepared
Everywhere they go, sellers should have their order form and other sales materials with them. You never know when a good opportunity will show up.
7- Give a smile and say hello
Before they start their two-sentence pitch, remind all of your sellers to smile and introduce themselves. Use the word "need" when you talk about the group's goal and when you ask for help for the first time. It is a very powerful trigger word. We need your help to get new uniforms for our band.
8- Ask what they want.
After the because statement in your sales script, you should always ask for an order right away. Can you help us meet our goal?
9- Make it your own by picking your favourites
Tell each seller to find one or two things they really like and then sell those with a lot of enthusiasm.
These ones in green are great.
10- Ask for more business
After the first order is placed, offer extra items or ask for referrals, etc., to make more money. Ask yourself these:
Can I tell you about another programme we have that's also a great deal?
Do you know anyone else I should get in touch with?
11- Make it easy for people to buy
Do everything you can to make it easier for people to buy what you're selling. Offer to fill out the form. Remind the prospect that a certain item would make a good gift or that it's all for a good cause.
If you use these tips for fundraising sales, you'll be able to make as much money as possible.
