Divorce is so awful, and everyone should hate how it hurts and destroys everyone involved. The problem is that even those who hate it end up being hurt by it. So, there needs to be a place where people can get divorce advice who aren't just using it to "legitimately" get out of a relationship for their own good. Reasons include wanting more sexual conquests, escaping something hard like a spouse's terminal illness or bad financial luck, or just not being loyal and not wanting to put in the work that a normal relationship takes.
People shouldn't be rewarded for being small-minded, selfish, greedy, having a shallow heart, being lazy, being lustful, lying, and so on. So, there needs to be divorce advice so that these people can be held accountable and so that the people who are hurt by the cruel actions of some can be protected. At the moment, it's hard to find advice that does these things, which is part of the reason why divorce is so common today.
Most of the time, when you think of a victim, you picture a poor, helpless middle-aged mother whose evil "player" husband has left her for a younger, less "used" woman. This victim gave up the chance to get an education and a better job so she could love and raise their children. She has both physical and emotional scars as a result of this choice. Even though these scars of sacrifice should make her more attractive to a man who sees and understands what a gift they are to him, they make her less attractive, and he leaves. This happens a lot, and these women need good divorce advice to protect themselves and keep their futures safe.
Now, however, this is happening less and less. In fact, the opposite is true. The man who is loyal and works hard to raise his kids and take care of his family is the one who is boring and unattractive and gets dumped for a more exciting and dangerous man. Because this is a fairly new trend made possible in part by the women's liberation movement (which had its good points, don't get me wrong), these men need good divorce advice more than ever because it's harder for them to convince judges of their situation.
The good news is that you can find a good divorce no matter what your situation is. As the need for it grows, it is also happening more often. So there is hope. All you have to do is do your homework, and you will get through this hard time.
