Planning a trip is hard enough on its own, but when you have to keep a group of kids happy at the same time, it can be a real challenge. There are a few places, though, where you can be sure that your vacation dreams and the dreams of your kids will come true.
Here is a list of five places that are great for kids and will also make sure that the adults have a good time on vacation:
Walt Disney World is a theme park in Florida.
Every child in the world dreams of going to Walt Disney World, which has been called "the most magical place on earth." The Central Florida Disney destination is more than just one theme park. There are enough things for the kids to do and see every day for a week or more. The Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney MGM Studios, and Animal Kingdom are the four theme parks at Walt Disney World. They also have two water parks: Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. They also have Disney Quest, an indoor arcade with five floors where kids can play games all day long for one price. If you stay at a Disney resort, you get extra time to play in the theme parks and special meals, like Character Breakfasts, where you can eat with Mickey Mouse and his friends. All of the parks have fun rides and attractions for adults, and Downtown Disney's Pleasure Island has a nightlife scene and lots of places to shop and eat.
Atlantis Hotel
This resort looks like it belongs in a fairy tale. It is on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. Besides being your hotel, it has 11 different pools with slides and rides that kids can enjoy all day. It's like having a water park right outside your hotel door. They also have a huge aquarium exhibit that makes you feel like you've travelled to the bottom of the ocean.
Snowbird Lodge
Want to live somewhere colder? Snowbird, Utah, has the Snowbird Resort. Skiing is popular, and kids under 12 can ski for free. You can also try snowboarding, snowmobiling, snow tubing, and ice skating. If you think you're really good, you can even enter one of the resort's many competitions.
Treesort
If you've read the book Swiss Family Robinson, you can imagine what the Treesort in Takilma, Oregon will be like. This place has 18 different kinds of tree house cabins that families with kids can rent for vacations. When you're not exploring the inside of your tree house, you can go outside and swing, play on the rope course, or cool off in one of the fresh water swimming pools.
Kingsmill Resort
The Kingsmill Resort is in Williamsburg, Virginia, and has things for kids of all ages to do. There is a camp for kids right on the property, and both Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens are just a short drive away. The property has a golf course, tennis courts, and a marina for adults who want to go out on the water.
