#Get your article published, and don't make the same mistakes that a lot of other writers did.
Sending a good article to an ezine publisher could get your website in front of thousands or even millions of online readers.
But to be successful at this, you have to compete with other Internet marketers. They also send articles to publishers of ezines like yours.
How can you make your article stand out from the rest?
Alternatively...
Your piece is going to the trash.
Here are some mistakes that many article writers tend to make.
Mistake #1: You went after the wrong niche market
Many people who wrote articles sent them to the wrong niche market. Send your article to the people you want to read it. Don't send your article to every ezine publisher at once. As an ezine editor, I got a lot of articles that had nothing to do with internet marketing. So, I'm not putting it out there.
Mistake #2- No Subject
You don't put the title of your article in the subject line of your email. Many people who write articles send them without putting a subject line. Instead of writing "New Article Submission," try "New Article: 6 Mistakes You Should Avoid Before Sending Articles to Ezine Publishers."
Mistake #3- Not unique
The content of your article is a clear idea. Topic: You write it like the other publishers and not much different. Make sure your article is new and different. Find out what's new in your market. Make a unique article out of what you've learned. You could write about "how to" or "tips," or about anything else that comes to mind. Even on articles with titles like "How to Avoid SPAM" or "How to Hack Hackers Back," it says "How to Avoid SPAM" or "How to Hack Hackers Back."
Mistake #4: Putting up an ad
Your article has more information on how to promote your product or the affiliate programme you join. If you only write advertising articles, it will kill your online business. Only put information about your website in your resource box. Give something away for free, such as e-books, reports, or downloads. Your readers will only get their free bonus if they go to your website.
Mistake #5: Not enough useful information
Your article does not educate your targeted audience. People subscribe to ezine to receive valuable information. If they get information about a subject they don't care about or that doesn't teach them anything, they will unsubscribe. So, ezine publishers won't put your article in their magazines. Many people who put out ezines try to give their readers the best information they can.
Mistake #6- Spelling problem
Your writing has too many spelling mistakes. If you send an article with too many spelling mistakes, you are just wasting your time. Before you publish your article, you should check it twice. You could use software to check for mistakes.
Type "free spell-checking" into the main search engine.
Spell check is built into most word processors today. For example, MS Office can check for misspelt words by underlining them in red.
Mistake #7: Not having a plan
Make sure that each line of your article has 65 characters. Your piece must be between 500 and 750 words long. If you format your article, ezine publisher will find it easy to copy and paste it. MS Outlook Express would be a good way to send your article.
Click "Options" on the "Tools" menu. Click the "Send" tab and choose "plain text" for the mail format. Then, click the "plain text setting" tab and choose "65 characters" for text to wrap automatically when sending an email.
#8: Not personalising the message
Add a short cover letter to your email to show that you care. Many ezine publishers get hundreds of article submissions every day, so personalising your emails is very important. Also, put information about your article in your personalised message.
If you don't do any of the above, many online ezine publishers will be happy to publish your article. Good luck.
